With last week’s JBoss Application Server 5.0 release from the JBoss.org Community now out, the test results are in, they’ve been reviewed, and now it is officially confirmed: JBoss Application Server is Java EE 5 Certified.
JBoss Enterprise Application Platform, Red Hat’s supported application server, already provided support for many of the popular Java EE 5 features in earlier v4.2 & v4.3 releases. With this community release now out, the team has shifted focus towards putting JBoss Application Server 5 through the ringer, integrating with other JBoss.org projects and testing it on more than 45 different operating systems, Java Virtual Machines and database configurations.
Enterprise support for JBoss Application Server 5 will be included in JBoss Enterprise Application Platform v5; stay tuned for more information on this enterprise release early next year.
