Darcy Lalor was appointed an IBM Distinguished Engineer in 2013 and has since served in the CTO role focusing on client leadership, innovation, and leading technical practitioners. He is a globally recognized thought leader in the IT Architect Profession in which he is a deep practitioner, an innovator, and a teacher. He earned the Open Group Distinguished Certified IT Architect designation while leading the IBM Canada Enterprise Architecture (EA) Practice from 2008-2013. Founded on more than 30 years of experience in customer-facing IT projects, Darcy has deep technical expertise in a wide range of methods and technologies gained through a sustained track record of successful solution delivery. His focus is on innovative and disruptive strategies that drive transformative programs incorporating architecture disciplines to optimize change while mitigating risk. He employs agile and architecture disciplines for advancing disruptive new technologies such as mobile, multi-cloud, IoT, Blockchain, edge computing, and analytics - then scaling them for enterprise use.
