Chris Thornton is a Telecoms Community Architect in Red Hat’s Open Source and AI Program Office, where he manages the company’s leadership across telecoms communities, standards bodies, and open initiatives. He combines commercial strategy with technical architecture to shape global telecom programs through an open platform approach.
With over 25 years of experience in telecoms and a decade dedicated to edge computing, Chris contributed to the foundational formation of ETSI MEC. He is an Open Group Distinguished Architect and holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting alongside an MSc in Information Security.
