Ed Hoppitt is part of Red Hat’s EMEA Business Value Practice, helping the company’s largest and most strategic customers understand the commercial and business impact of their technology investments.
He brings more than 25 years of enterprise technology experience, including 13 years in operational roles at a global telecommunications provider and 12 years at VMware. There, Ed advised some of the world’s largest organisations on technology, cloud and innovation strategy, latterly serving as Senior Director, Application and Cloud Platform Strategy.
Ed brings distinctive insight into the technical, operational and commercial realities of adopting at-scale business platforms. His work at Red Hat includes helping major customers build the case for and execute large-scale moves away from VMware.
Outside the corporate world, Ed is a maker and builder at heart. He won the BBC Robot Wars World Championship and used that success to inspire the next generation through STEM. His contribution to technology and innovation also earned him a place in the Palo Alto Computer History Museum’s Founders Interview series
