Tim is a Red Hat Industrial Edge Architect on the global edge architecture team, specializing in industrial automation and operational technology. With nearly two decades of experience in manufacturing, he has worked hands-on in plant environments, building and maintaining industrial control systems before transitioning into IT/OT convergence. At Red Hat, Tim partners with manufacturing companies to design next-generation compute strategies for the industrial edge. He is actively engaged in the Margo Initiative and served as Security Co-chair for the Open Process Automation Forum (OPAF), contributing to the advancement of secure, interoperable automation systems. Tim’s expertise spans ISA/IEC 62443 cybersecurity standards, industrial networks, and the integration of modern edge architectures into mission-critical environments.
