Guangxuan (GX) Xu is a Principal Research Scientist at the Red Hat AI Innovation Team, where he leads research on large language model (LLM) alignment, test-time scaling, and agentic optimization for enterprise AI systems. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from UCLA and has published at top-tier venues including NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, and AAAI.
Previously at IBM Research, GX played a key role in developing InstructLab and reinforcement learning–based optimization techniques for foundation models. He is passionate in building general-purpose, trustworthy AI agents that accelerate scientific discovery, transform enterprise workflows, while is accessible, transparent, and trust-worthy by the public.
