I’m heading to Denver, CO the week of November 18th to participate in AutoCon 2, an event dedicated to network automation. Although this is my first time at AutoCon 2, I’m already familiar with many of the names on the agenda from the network engineering community. It’s going to be an incredible opportunity to connect with fellow engineers and operators, exchange insights, and dive into topics around automation, orchestration, and observability.

On November 19th, I will join two of my Red Hat colleagues to lead a workshop titled “Network resiliency with event-driven automation using Ansible”. We’ll give participants hands-on examples of how generative AI (via Red Hat Ansible Lightspeed with IBM watsonx Code Assistant) can help lower the barrier of entry for adopting network automation via Ansible Playbook generation. Participants will also learn how to use Event-Driven Ansible for networks that notifies users of specific events in real time, allowing them to take actions based upon those events.

Many of our strategic network partners will be at AutoCon 2. My favorite aspect of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform for network automation is the ability to be a truly multi-vendor automation tool. We can automate across a variety of solutions and vendors, all with a single platform. Many of our customers have different vendors for switches and routers, firewalls, and load balancers, so this multi-vendor automation feature is often viewed as a game changer for  successful network automation adoption. The Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform team continues to align and collaborate with strategic network automation partners to add to our robust Red Hat Ansible Certified Content Collections, resulting in a quick path for customers to get up and running, as well as an end to end supported experience.

What is the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform team planning with technology partners at AutoCon?

I’m looking forward to showcasing a joint demo with our partner Arista November 20-21. Stop by the Arista booth in the afternoon on either day to learn more!

This year we announced our collaboration with NetBox Labs, a network automation source of truth leader. During AutoCon 2, NetBox Labs will be hosting a social event on November 20th. We’re excited to be a featured partner at this event, where we will have an opportunity to explore new ideas and enjoy collaborative conversations in a relaxed environment. Please consider registering, as I’d love to connect there! We'll also be sharing more about a new co-created solution we've developed with our partner Blue Ally!

Another Red Hat strategic partner Cisco will be at AutoCon 2. Curious how we’re collaborating with Cisco? Learn more here:
