When we talk to our customers they are often engaged in digital transformation projects where they have trouble finding employees with the right skills to drive the projects to success. If you want to prove you have the knowledge needed to lead these projects, a skills path can guide you through the right training and certification programs to develop and demonstrate those abilities.

The Red Hat Training and Certification team has restructured its curriculum around 23 new skills paths to prepare you and your team to complete digital transformation projects successfully. Each new skills path provides a curated guide for learning industry leading, open hybrid cloud technologies, whether you’re in  the beginning of your journey to becoming a Red Hat Certified Professional or you’re already an expert in your discipline. We offer skills paths that help prepare for the future of open hybrid cloud for administrators, developers, engineers, or architects.

Each new skills path focuses on developing practical skills that help professionals accomplish critical tasks. While learning is the method of acquiring the knowledge, a skill is the tangible ability to use that knowledge effectively in execution. Red Hat Certifications are performance based, enabling IT professionals to demonstrate practical skills and knowledge in an applied, use case focused exam.

Prove you have the skills enterprises want

Red Hat is an industry leading provider of technologies critical for open hybrid cloud, DevOps and automation. Through Red Hat’s skill paths, learners can become experts in sought after areas including:

  • Kubernetes orchestration and administration with Red Hat OpenShift

  • Automation of Linux, Windows and network devices using Ansible

  • Container native application development

  • Private cloud deployment with Red Hat OpenStack

  • Deploying and managing  Linux containers

  • DevOps pipeline development using Git and Jenkins

The 23 skills paths are divided into the following seven technology areas: OpenShift, OpenStack, Linux, Red HatAnsible, Cloud computing, Red HatJBoss EAP, and more. If you have a Red Hat Learning Subscription, these skill paths will replace the learning paths and all course progress has been mapped and updated within the new skill paths. This does not affect your current course progress or certifications you have already earned or are currently pursuing.

Looking forward

Stay tuned for future skills paths and education programs that develop job specific skills that span multiple Red Hat technologies, with a focus on developing a strong foundation for IT professionals to be enterprise ready.
