Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform has been recognized as a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Multicloud and Hybrid Cloud Management with Automation 2024 Vendor Assessment (doc # US52084624, May 2024). Evaluating seven vendors in the space, the IDC MarketScape analyzed key features, capabilities and strategies for AI capabilities, support for hybrid cloud and edge, third-party integration and infrastructure as code.
Per the assessment, “Red Hat has successfully adapted its business model to leverage the benefits of open source with the support and trust enterprises need to run their business on top of this technology.” In addition, IDC notes that “Red Hat was one of the first to add AI capabilities to its YAML-based infrastructure as a code development base by partnering with the IBM Watsonx team.”
Industry-leading Ansible Automation Platform features an agentless architecture for the flexibility to be applied across all IT infrastructure domains and third-party integrations, like Dynatrace and ServiceNow. Working with products across the Red Hat portfolio, it also delivers a constant stream of innovation, including GenAI capabilities like Red Hat Ansible Lightspeed and Event-Driven Ansible for an always-on tool to initiate automation in any environment, from datacenter to hybrid cloud and to edge environments.
The IDC MarketScape vendor assessment model is designed to provide an overview of the competitive fitness of ICT (information and communications technology) suppliers in a given market. The research methodology utilizes a rigorous scoring methodology based on both qualitative and quantitative criteria that results in a single graphical illustration of each vendor’s position within a given market. IDC MarketScape provides a clear framework in which the product and service offerings, capabilities and strategies, and current and future market success factors of IT and telecommunications vendors can be meaningfully compared. The framework also provides technology buyers with a 360-degree assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of current and prospective vendors.
