With Red Hat Summit 2026 just around the corner, we’re shifting our focus from 'what’s new' to 'what’s next.' Whether you’re scaling AI or modernizing legacy VMs, this guide highlights the specific sessions and stories that will help you solve your toughest architectural challenges on Microsoft Azure Red Hat OpenShift.
If you’re new to the service, Azure Red Hat OpenShift is a fully managed application platform—jointly engineered and operated by Red Hat and Microsoft. This first-party Azure service helps you build, deploy, and manage containerized, virtualized, and AI-enabled applications. With Azure Red Hat OpenShift, you get consistency across your hybrid cloud, while Red Hat handles the underlying infrastructure and operations for you.
Now, let’s look at the key Azure Red Hat OpenShift related sessions, customer stories, and news.

Celebrating innovation: Microsoft wins 2026 Red Hat Ecosystem Innovation Award for Platform Modernization Partner of the Year
While the sessions on our schedule highlight the technology, our partnership is ultimately measured by the real-world impact we have on our customers. We are honored to share that this impact was recently recognized with a major industry milestone. Microsoft has won the 2026 Red Hat Ecosystem Innovation Award for Platform Modernization Partner of the Year. This award validates our long-standing joint partnership in delivering a comprehensive application platform that is engineered, operated, and supported by both Red Hat and Microsoft.
For this year's award, we highlight the incredible story of Banco Bradesco. By using Azure Red Hat OpenShift, Banco Bradesco modernized its infrastructure to support massive scale and advanced AI use cases, such as their "BIA" AI assistant which handles millions of monthly interactions. The transition allowed them to manage a staggering 50,000 deployments and improve delivery times significantly, with some processes seeing a 90% reduction in deployment time.
