Transform legacy architecture and paper-based processes
Medifé delivered 90% of its services in person or by phone using manual, paper-based administration. When the COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the organization’s need to digitize customer experience and improve responsiveness, it needed to deliver services faster and improve the time it took to implement process changes.
Solution
Adopt containers and microservices for new capabilities
Medifé engaged Red Hat Consulting and adopted Red Hat technologies to build a container- and microservices-based foundation for applications, monitoring, and authentication. The organization built a new telemedicine platform to get care to vulnerable people more quickly, as well as a new billing system to create faster processing times and more responsive user experiences.
