Red Hat Enterprise Linuxに関する最も基礎的な学習を行うコースユニット「Red Hat Linux 基本コース： 前編（入門）」は、LinuxやUNIXの使用経験の無い方に最適です。Red Hat Enterprise Linux上でコマンドを実行する方法や、ヘルプの参照方法、基本的なセキュリティ機能などコマンドラインによるLinux OSの操作に必要な基本的な技術を習得できます。「Red Hat Linux 基本コース：中編（実践） 」では、プロセス管理やシェルスクリプトなど、より効率的なコマンド処理の方法を習得したい方を対象にトレーニングを行います。「Red Hat Linux 基本コース：後編（管理基礎）」は、ファイルシステムの詳細やシステム管理ツールの概要などシステム管理者向けの基礎知識を学習します。
価格は、「前編」「中編」「後編」それぞれ2日間のコース で各94,500円（コース番号：RH033M1、RH033M2 、RH033M3、 税込み）です。第1回目のトレーニングは11月21日に開講し、その後は、およそ1ヶ月に1回程度の開催を予定しています。受講申し込みはレッドハットのホームページで本日より受付を開始します。
レッドハットの教育事業について
レッドハットの教育事業は「グローバル ラーニング サービス」という名称で世界共通のプログラムとして提供しています。「グローバル ラーニング サービス」は、Linuxをはじめ様々なオープンソース・ソフトウェアを使用する技術者のスキル向上を目的とし、トレーニングコースと認定資格で構成されます。認定資格は、Linux技術者のスキルと用途に合わせて4種類提供されています。サーバ管理を除くシステム管理者向け「Red Hat Certified Technician(RHCT)」、サーバレベルのシステム管理者向け「Red Hat Certified Engineer(RHCE)」、RHCE取得済みを前提とする、特にセキュリティの専門資格としての「Red Hat Certified Security Specialist（RHCSS）」、最上位に位置し、総合的なアーキテクトを目指す方向けの「Red Hat Certified Architect（RHCA）」 が設けられています。トレーニングは実習（ハンズオン）が中心で、より実務に近い環境で最新の技術を身につけることが可能です。
